MASUR MASALA DAL


Masur Masala Dal/ Ren Lentil Masala Dal

In India the Dal Preparation is very important in daily life.There are various variation of Dal preparation in India that can be consume with Rice and Roti. This Masur Masala dal / Red lentil Maslal Dal recipe is very easy to learn and prepared at home any time. 

Preparation Time:- 15 min
Person to Serve :- 4 no

Ingredients :- 

Red lentil / Masur Dal       :-     1 Cup/ 200 g
Green chilly (split)            :-     4 No
Tomato  (chop)                  :-    2  No
Turmeric Powder              :-    1/4 tsp
Salt                                    :-    To taste
Coconut (Grated)              :-     1 tbsp
Coriander Leaves              :-     Garnish 

Tempering/ Tadka

Cooking oil                       :-      1 tbsp
Cumin Seed                      :-       1 tsp
Mustard Seed                    :-       1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves                     :-       8-10 No




Method:-

  1.  Take pot and boil the Masur Dal/ Red lentil Dal.
  2.  When the dal is start to cook used ladle or masher to mash the dal until to smooth puree.
  3.  Put heat on simmer flame and add green chilly, tomatoes and turmeric powder cook the vegetable until done.
  4.  Then add salt and grated coconut keep the flame on simmer.
  5. Now other side make the Tampering/Tadka, take pot add oil heat the oil then add cumin seed , mustered seed and curry leaves crackle the seeds and add in to the dal.
  6. mix well garnish with coriander leaves and serve with Rice or Roti. 
Note:-
  1.   Don`t used cooker for cooking the Dal to avoid the good flavor and taste.
  2.   Don`t burnt the tempering / tadka it will give bitter taste to dal
