ALOO PYAJ DRY

The aloo pyaj dry (Potato onion dry) preparation is basic recipe for any time you will have. This is very interesting vegetable preparation for lunch and dinner time.

Preparation Time :-   30 min
Serve to Person :-  2 No

Ingredients 

Potato (chop)                       :-     3 No
Onion  (Chop)                     :-     2 No
Cooking Oil                        :-      2 tbsp
Cumin Seed                         :-     1/2 tsp
Garlic  (Chop)                      :-      1 tbsp
Green Chilly  (Split)            :-     3 No
Curry Leaves                       :-     4-5 No
Coriander Powder                 :-    1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder                 :-    1/4 tsp
Red Chilly Powder              :-    1/2 tsp
Garam Masala                     :-     1/4 tsp
Salt                                       :-     To Taste
Tomato Ketchup                  :-     1 tbsp
Coriander Leaves                 :-    Garnish 

Method

  • First wash, peel, cut in cube the potatoes and boil it well until cook.
  • Drain the potato and keep in a side
  • Now take the pan and cooking oil, after heat then add cumin seed and garlic and cook for a minutes.
  • Add green chilly and curry leaves and fry well til the flavor release.
  • Now add onion and fry the onion to light brown color.
  • Then add coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chilly powder and cook the masala well.
  • Now add Boiled potatoes and mix in to masala, coat the masala well to potatoes.
  • Then add garama masala and sprinkle the salt to taste, cook the mixture around 5 minutes.
  • After cook all vegetable then add tomato ketchup and mix it well.
  • finally garnish with coriander leaves serve hot with Indian breads.

Note:-

  • Don`t cover cook the potatoes.
  • Don`t cover fry the onion and powder masala.
  • You can add tamarind chutany along with tomato ketchup.
